There are so many books to read this summer!

Across the county, library staff are comparing their summer reading lists.  

So many great titles! What is on your summer reading list?

Post it notes containing book titles: Too Wilde to Wed by Eloisa James, Island of the Mad by Laurie King, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, Watchers by Dean Koontz, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Le Petit Prince by Antoine De St. Exupery, The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman, Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

Just a few weeks into the Summer Read Club and we have already drawn the first prizes. Our prize winner gallery can be found here, and here is a recap of the prizes this summer:

If you sign up before June 30th, you will automatically be entered to win a Family 4-Pack of tickets to the Richmond Flying Squirrels (all ages eligible).

Once you register and log at least SOME reading you’ll be entered into weekly drawings for $25 Gift Certificates to major retailers like Target, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Amazon. Drawings are every Monday from June 18 – August 27 (all ages eligible).

The Grand Prize Drawings include a $500 Gift Certificate to Great Wolf Lodge (all ages eligible),  a YISSVIC Kids Musical Instruments Set (for preschoolers), Kala Mahogany Concert Ukulele (for elementary school kids), Korg Volca Digital Sample Sequencer (for teens), and Bose SoundLink Wireless Headphones (for adults) drawn on August 31. There will also be drawings at each branch for a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant for adults.

To be eligible for the grand prize, kids and teens need to have read at least some time on different twenty days, and adults need to have read at least five books.
