Online Resources – Just a few…

One of the services we’ve been offering for years is access to some really good online databases. Our online offerings cover a wide range of interests, are available from home, always open and free for you to use. So, what kind of stuff can you do with our databases?

How about learn a new language? With Mango Languages you can learn over 30 languages! It’s got a great interface and provides many levels of instruction. You can create an account and track your progress as you go through the different lessons. You don’t have to but it will help as you learn.

Getting ready for a big test? Need to brush up on some old skills? Wanting to learn more about a particular skill? TryLearningExpress Library. This wonderful resource has tests and courses for everything from 4th grade math to air traffic control test preparation and a lot in between. If you or someone you know is looking to study for the GED, SAT, or GRE try LearningExpress. You won’t regret it.

Do you have something you think may be valuable? Check out Antiques Reference. This is one of the best sources for learning about and valuing antiques, collectibles and fine art. They get their information from over 140 auction houses in the US so their information is pretty solid. Try it out. You may be surprised at what you will find.

Looking for investment information? Take a look at Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage and ValueLine. We’ve offered these resources for years but you had to visit the library to see them. Now you can check on company information and stock prices from your home or office.

All you need to access these and other great online resources is your library card.
